NUC approves postgraduates courses for Bells University

47 students to graduate with First Class in Bells University

The Vice Chancellor of the university said only one course is with interim accreditation status in the institution.

More postgraduates courses have reportedly been approved for Bells University of Technology, Otta in Ogun state by the National Universities Commission (NUC)

The vice-chancellor of the university, Jeremiah Ojediran announced this on Monday, November 5, 2018.

Ojediran said the approval for the commencement of postgraduate academic programmes and Master degrees was granted after a rigorous resource assessment by the NUC panel in December 2017.

 

He added that six postgraduates programs were granted in full-time mode saying the university now has only  Architecture, which falls under the College of Environmental Sciences is the only course with interim accreditation status.

“The result of the evaluation of the degree programmes revealed that MSc Management got 78 per cent, MBA has 80.3 per cent and MSc in Human Resource Management got 83.0 per cent.

“MSc Accounting also got 75.3 per cent and MSc Finance got 76.4 per cent,’’  Ojediran said.

Bells University of Technology is the first private university of technology in Nigeria.

The tertiary institution was established in 2004 by the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
