62 out of 1,647 students graduate with first class from UNIOSUN

UNIOSUN joins NLC industrial action

The Vice Chancellor of the University says the institution will honour former governors of the state.

Out of the 1,647 graduating students of the Osun State University, 62 of them are graduating from the institution with first class degree.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Labode Popoola announced this while addressing a press conference in Osogbo.

The VC also said the Visitor to the university and the outgoing governor of the state, Rauf Aregebsola would be awarded an honorary doctor of science at the 7th convocation of the institution.

The VC according to Daily Trust also said that the former governor of the state, Chief Bisi Akande would also be honoured with Doctor of Letters.

 

Popoola also said the institution would also honour an expert in the oil industry, Dr. Olayiwola Francis Fatona.

201 graduated with first class in UI out of 7,500

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Idowu Olayinka has announced that only 201 students are graduating with first class out of 7,577 students.

According to PM News, the Vice Chancellor added that only the 2016/2017 set graduands are participating in the ceremony as 2017/2018 set could not make the graduation due to incessant industrial action.
