After years in the NPFL with Rangers International, Christian Madu moves to Portuguese side CD Nacional
Nigerian midfielder Christian Obumeneme Madu has completed a move from Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side Rangers International to Portuguese Primera Liga side CD Nacional.
The 25-year-old joined CD Nacional on a four year deal which is expected to last until 2022.
After extensive seasons in the NPFL Madu secured a move abroad to continue his development as a professional footballer.
CD Nacional announced the move from Rangers on their official website after concluding negotiations.
The message on their official account said, “CD Nacional and Enugu Rangers agreed on the transfer of Christian Madu to Madeira.
“The Nigerian midfielder,25, is one of his Nigeria’s best midfielder and has signed a four-year contract with Nacional.
“Madu will start training with his teammates tomorrow.”
Madu was part of the Rangers side that won the 2015/16 NPFL title.
He took to his official Instagram account to express his delight at completing a move abroad.
He said, “When you thank him he will do more..my life is full of thanks..new challenge,new chapter...still moving.”
He joins compatriot Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Ibrahim who earlier completed a move to CD Nacional.
