After their exploits at the World Cup, Messi Alba, Pique and Sergio are back in Barcelona.
Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets have resumed training with Barcelona ahead of the start of the new season.
Messi, Pique, Alba and Sergio all crashed out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup at the round of 16 stage with Argentina and Spain respectively and have been on extended break since.
Barcelona are currently on tour in the International Champions Cup (ICC), where they won their first match against Tottenham on penalties.
The squad led by Ernesto Valverde are preparing for their second game of the pre-season tournament against Roma and the four returnees will play no part but travel to the United States of America to join up with their teammates.
The four players all played integral role for the Spanish giants as they won the La Liga and Copa Del Rey last season.
Messi and the other returnees will now hope to take part in Barcelona's next fixture after the Roma encounter which is against AC Milan on Sunday, August 5.
World Cup winners Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele are among the other contingents expected after their extended break.
