The TSEE event was lit! It opened its doors to talented young artists eager to showcase their craft.
The Self Expression Exhibition is were art meets art, as far as we can tell from these beautiful photos.
The second edition of The Self Expression Exhibition (TSEE) held on July 21, at Wère House in Lekki, Lagos. It was a chance to support the talented artists showing their select works while also kicking back and chilling.
Last year's edition was less expansive as it only explored 2D art. This year, however, featured works ranging from 2D art, 3D art, live painting, photography, spoken word and poetry. Some of the best next generation of contemporary artists were present — Chigozie, Ajet of ArtofAjet, Emeka, Kamal, Abisola Gbadamosi, Anny Inferno, Simisola Babalola, Ahmed Abiodun, Fifoluwa Adebakin, Olaloye Bolaji and many more.
Supporters, just as beautiful as the art, were able to interact with the artists and art while also experiencing the energy from the community.
Tiwalade Adegbuyi and Gbenga Olaniyi are the co-conveners of the event. They first decided to work together last year, when they agreed that they needed to create a platform where people can just chill and have a good time while enjoying art.
“It was supposed to be a one time event, just an avenue for people to meet each other, catch up, chill while enjoying art. Sort of like a kick back but centred around art,” Tiwalade said in an interview with RADR, a supporter of the event.
It sure lived up to the hype. These vibing photos from the event will definitely make anyone who wasn't present, sorry they weren't.
