A young man from Sefwi in the Western Region is likely to pay a whopping GHc3, 500 for just a sexual intercourse he allegedly had with a cow.
Reports say 25-year-old Kofi Sarpong was caught red-handed abusing the animal on his father’s cocoa farm, and the owner has refused to take back the cow.
Rainbow Radio’s Sir Joe is reported to have said that Kofi Sarpong took to his heels leaving his pair of trousers and a shirt at the scene of the bestial act.
Having presented the pair of trousers and shirt to the chief’s palace as an evidence of his claim, the cow’s owner is reportedly demanding GHC1, 500 in return for his animal.
As if that was not enough, adomonline.com reported that the man is further demanding another compensation of GHC2, 000, making a total of GHc3, 500.

Men engaging in sexual intercourse with animals has been ongoing since time immemorial, but the appalling act is gradually becoming rampant in Ghana and some other African countries lately.
Just last week, a 32-year-old Daniel Ackon was arrested by the Assin South District Police Command for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a goat at Fa-Wo-Ma-Nye Anomabo Kuma in the Ajumako Anyan Asiam District of the Central Region.
The act is a crime punishable by the laws of Ghana. It is however not clear why in the case of Kofi Sarpong, the owner chose to handle the matter at the chief’s palace instead of reporting it to the police.
