Why is it so important to have faith in God? One simple answer is that you need it to please God. Hebrews 11: 6 says, "And without faith, it is impossible to please God…"
The same verse further explains why faith is so necessary saying, "because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."
Now, that you know why it is so important. Here are some practical ways to help you improve your faith in God.
Read or listen to God's Word.
Romans 10:17 says, "So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
In order to improve your faith in God, you need to know about Him. Reading the Word or listening to an audio Bible on a daily basis gives you a better idea of who you are dealing with and gives you all the reasons to trust Him.

Use them
After reading the scriptures, the next step is to actually use them. Faced with temptations, troubles, challenging situation in general, find a verse that applies and uses it. For instance, you are dealing with fear, meditate on a verse like Romans 8: 31, which says, "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
Verse 37 is also great. It says, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." There are fewer things that are more comforting than the scriptures so be sure to advantage of the Word the next time fear, anxiety, worries, life's challenges come calling. Doing this really helps to improve your faith.
Find a faith-based community
It's one thing to read about all the amazing things God did thousands of years ago and a totally different thing to hear about His wonderful exploits through people's testimonies.
Being surrounded by people who are constantly experiencing God and seeing that He is still doing great things in 2018 is a great way to strengthen your faith. It also encourages you to go deeper with God so that you can experience Him for yourself (James 4:8).
Just trust God
At the end of the day, it all boils down to one thing, trust. You just have to trust Him, the One who made you, who knows you better than you know yourself, who sees the future and has great plans for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Who better to trust than Him?
