Aminu Tambuwal: Sokoto Governor, House of Assembly members dump APC

The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal and all members of the state House of Assembly have left the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Governor and the state lawmakers all decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

According to Independent, they decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

The APC has recently been hit by a series of defections which started from the National Assembly (NASS).

Over 50 members of the APC in the National Assembly decamped to the PDP on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.

On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state dumped the APC for the PDP.

APC expresses shock

Meanwhile, the APC, in a statement made available to newsmen, described Governor Ortom’s defection as surprising.

According to the APC’s spokesman, Bolaji Abudullahi, it is not too late to bring Ortom back to the ruling party.
