Mourinho’s future uncertain following FA Cup final defeat

For the first time in his career, Jose Mourinho has lost a domestic cup final in England, as Chelsea defeated Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup final.

For just the third time in his career, the Portuguese manager has gone a full season without winning a trophy and his future at Old Trafford has come under scrutiny.

United supporters have been left very disappointed by the 2017/2018 season having played a frustrating brand of football whilst failing to claim any silverware; leaving Mourinho’s future uncertain.

Finishing 19 points behind title-winners Manchester City, eliminated from the Champions League by Seville, eliminated from the League Cup by Bristol City and now suffering defeat in the FA Cup final to Chelsea; this season has been tough for Mourinho.
Eden Hazard’s first-half spot-kick proved to be the difference between the two sides as the Blue denied the Red Devils a record-equalling 13th FA Cup.

The defeat has left supporters questioning as to whether Mourinho is the right man to lead the club forward having made some really questionable decisions over the course of the season.
