Jennifer Lawrence looks stunning in black gown

The Baftas showed solidarity with Times Up last night and the red carpet was awash with a sea of black gowns

The BAFTAs held last night in London in further celebration of the great films to come out over the last year. The red carpet was awash with black as stars dressed in solidarity for the Time's Up movement. Here's a look at the best dressed at last night's prestigious film awards.

Jennifer Lawrence put on a typically chic display on Sunday evening, when she stepped out in head-turning black dress. The Oscar-winning actress, 27, wowed as she made her way to London's Royal Albert Hall in a breathtaking black evening gown which had a unique angular neckline with delicate white chiffon straps.

She was joined at the ceremony by fellow Hollywood screen stars Angelina Jolie, Lupita Nyong'O and Salma Hayek who exuded old Hollywood glamour in black gowns as they joined the protest in memorable style.

The usually colourful red carpet at the annual film awards ceremony in London was flooded with celebrities in black gowns, as guests followed the lead set at the Golden Globes in January by adopting an all-black dress code.

Many attendees also wore Time's Up pins to show solidarity with the initiative, which was launched in the wake of the entertainment industry's sexual assault scandal.
