Rihanna celebrates her 30th birthday in New York

Everyone's favourite pop star Rihanna celebrated her Dirty Thirty surrounded by family and friends whilst looking fabulous in YSL

Rihanna celebrated her thirtieth birthday in style surrounded by family and friends at New York restaurant 'The Grille'. The 'Confidence' singer was a vision in a fuschia and black YSL outfit as she danced the night away in celebration of her birthday milestone.

Rihanna's 30th was always going to be an epic affair. The Bajan songstress is never one to shy away from a party and what better excuse to throw a huge blow out than turning thirty.

Rihanna turned up at New York's 'The Grille' restaurant and entered the venue quietly. Also seen entering; heiress Paris Hilton and RnB legend Toni Braxton who performed at the party.

Guests had their phones taken away at the door to prevent any photo leaks of the event and the only pictures thus far have been posted by Rihanna herself on her Instagram account.

Rihanna wore a fuschia YSL exaggerated crop blouse with velvet shorts straight from the runway and looked every inch the superstar as her long hair cascaded in curls over her shoulders.

Before the bash, Rihanna celebrated her mother Monica Fenty for raising her. Posting an image of herself as a child and a more recent photo, the superstar honored her mom in the caption.

“10958 days ago @monica_fenty became a mother for the first time to her only daughter! Today is just as much your birthday as it is mine,” she wrote. “I love you mom! Thank you for carrying me, birthing me, raising me, supporting me, teaching me, and loving me unconditionally! The woman I am today is because of everything that you are! I thank God for perfectly hand picking you to be my mother when He sent my spirit to you! You are the greatest! Thank you!”

Her proud Mother also celebrated her b-day on the Gram, writing: “Happy 30th. God’s blessings to my 1st born. The sweetest, most humble person I know, and most loving daughter ever. Lots of love back to you on your special day.”
