2017 has been a great year for smartphones, so we made a list of our Super Six.
This year had some great entries in the Smartphone innovation department, here's out list of the best smartphones in Nigeria for 2017.
This year was especially great for smartphones, with surprise appearances here and there. There was the super impressive OnePlus giving two good punches. There was the Essential phone. Huawei had the Mate Pro. LG had the V30, Google had the Pixel 2. But our list is not about these guys. Our list is for the companies who thought it’d be great to market their phones for us here in Nigeria. Because despite everything, we deserve the best things.
So here are the phones we think were most awesome this year, in no particl
1. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8:
The Note 8 is the most feature-rich Android phone in the market. Period. Although there are people who’d say there are more features than are necessary, and that it’s very expensive. But if you want to buy the very best Android phone of 2017, this is it.
2. iPhone X:
This is the best iPhone phone ever made, and it’s not just the best for nothing. It’s the first major redesign that the iPhone has had in a while, so it’s worth celebrating. It’s a gorgeous piece, with it’s gorgeous screen. The biggest problem with this phone now is that most apps are not yet well adapted for its new screen design, which is kind of weird.
3. Samsung Galaxy S8+:
These is like the most beautiful Android phone this year. The design is top notch (except for the poor placement of the fingerprint sensor on back of the S8+). One feature we never really got around to experiencing is the Bixby.
4. iPhone 8:
Finally, the iPhone gets on the wireless charging vibe with this one. Besides that, all Apple did was upgrade everything from the iPhone 7. If you’re an iPhone Stan who can’t afford the X, you know what to do.
5. Tecno Phantom 8:
Tecno might not be up there with the Samsung and Apple flagships, but this is their closest shot, and it really is a solid entry.
6. The Nokia 8:
The Nokia 8 is Nokia’s announcement into the flagship space. The phone comes with everything you’d expect from a flagship, good RAM, space, and nothing really stands out about the Nokia 8. Except of course the Bothie camera feature they’re so proud of. And there’s the fact that it comes with near-stock Android.
2017 is over, and while we don't know so much of what to expect from 2018, we can only better the phones will be even better across board.
