Top music stars in Nigeria have indicated interest in storming Otukpo for the 2017 edition of the Miss Idoma Beauty Pageant.
All is now set for the 8th edition of the Miss Idoma Beauty Pageant organised by Freeimage Entertainment [FIE] in Otukpo, Benue State, as top Nigerian music stars like Ice Prince and Solidstar have confirmed their presence.
The event which is slated for 27 December, 2017, at Leach Hotel and Resort, Otukpo, is aimed at celebrating the beauty of the Idoma woman.
According to the organizers of the event, Miss Idoma is a pageant that crowns intelligence and beauty, a pageant aimed at creating a platform for an intelligent youth who is innovative in preserving the cultures of the land.

Speaking at a press conference held in Abuja during the week, the President of FIE, Mrs. Janet Odoh William, 'the event attracts all the visiting crowd, tourists and season city dwellers who always come back to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of Christmas celebration in Otukpo.'
Since its maiden edition in 2010, Free Image Entertainment has consistently made sure the most prestigious beauty pageant in the north-central holds every December 27 and had also ensured that a winner goes home with a brand new car.
"This 8th edition of Miss Idoma Beauty pageant promises to be bigger and better as preparations have been concluded and the stage is set.
The annual contest has gone a long way in empowering the Idoma targeted youth positively, while also uplifting them towards contributing their quota to the socio-economic development and sustainability of Nigeria," William said.
She added that the event has been showcasing the beauty of Idoma land and the virtues of its women.
“For seven years now, we have been showcasing the beauty and rich cultural heritage of Idoma community to the world through the Miss Idoma beauty contest and award night.
The 2017 edition will be choreographed in a unique and creative style and will be the first of its kind in Nigeria.

Past winners of the contest included, Blessing Ogwuche, Ella Berela, Ehi Ejeh, Ehi Adokwu, Sandra Acha, Fatima Annabel and others.
Interestingly, top entertainers have been lined up to thrill guests at this year’s event. Among the start billed to perform at the event are Ice Prince, SolidStar, Meddy, Archi, Odogwu, Ochipet and other wave making entertainers," Mrs. Willam concluded.
