It's That Time Of The Year! What we love most about Christmas

After conducting a quick survey, amongst friends and family members; Here's what we love most about Christmas.

After conducting a quick survey, mostly by asking all my friends and family members; Here's what we love most about Christmas, about the holiday...

Family.

Nothing brings the family together like this season. Every family member abroad makes sure to come home for the celebration. We get in touch the ones we haven't seen for a while. Celebrating with family (plus friends) is what we love.

Presents.

From the first day of December, we all have who we are bugging for Christmas gifts, expecting to receive lots of goodies from friends and families. Even for those who are giving, there's always that good feeling attached to being the one to put a smile on someone's face.

Food.

The aroma and taste of Christmas food is one of the things that makes us look forward to the holiday. Ever wonder why Christmas rice tastes different from every other rice you cook on a normal day.

It's also being able to share food with family, friends and neighbours.

Weather.

We love the cool harmattan weather.

Christmas Morning.

One thing we love most about Christmas is Christmas morning itself. That smile you get when a friend texts you, wishing you merry Christmas. The excitement you feel and the laughter that spreads across your face while talking to a loved one that morning on phone.

Joy Despite Hardships.

During this festive period there's always stress, the price of food and stuff in the markets has increased, fuel scarcity, bills to pay, but even with all these we're still celebrating.

No School.

We love school but we can't deny that the students are particularly happy that they get to stay home during this festive period, so they can properly prepare.

We can't deny it. This season more than others has a way of bringing  smile, happiness, laughter and joy on people's faces. It's what we love most about it.

Love's in the air.

The less privileged and Orphanage homes are visited by individuals, churches, even business organizations so they are not left out in this season of giving and receiving.

Some Churches organise Christmas Camps for children and teenagers, so they can have fun, meet, spend time and make new friends.

One thing;

Lets not forget the One who made it possible. Jesus Christ, our King.
