Super Eagles arrive in Johannesburg ahead of AFCON 2019 qualifier against South Africa

The players camped in Asaba for four days before taking the long trip to Johannesburg.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have landed in Johannesburg ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa.

 

Nigeria face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Matchday Five of AFCON 2019 qualifiers at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, November 17.

Ahead of the game, the players arrived in Johannesburg in the early morning of Friday, November 16 via a chartered flight from Asaba.

 

The players camped in Asaba for four days before taking the long trip to Johannesburg for the game against South Africa.

Super Eagles camp opened on Monday, November 19 in Asaba where they had two closed-door training session at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.

Nigeria are top of Group  E with nine points ahead of South Africa who have eight points from four games.

The Super Eagles will seal qualification to AFCON 2019 with a win or a draw.

After the game against South Africa, the team will fly straight back to Asaba to prepare for the international friendly game against Uganda on Tuesday, November 20.
