I mean, what's a sleep over without pizza???
Every last Saturdays of the month are for hanging out with friends, catching up on basically everything and gisting…..
Usually, we would go to a restaurant/bar to feast on foods and drinks, try out new places in Lagos.
But, this time we decided to do things different.
This time, the girls were coming over to my place for a sleep over. We decided that each person would come along with food, drinks or desserts.
We all came up with something to bring to the sleepover, and it was settled. I decided to make pizza for my girls and I.
I mean, what's a sleep over without pizza???

Directions:
For toppings:
- Heat up oil in a pan, add chopped ginger and onion slices and fry for 1min.
- Mix in the ground beef and a pinch of salt. Cook for 2minutes and set aside.
- Drain water from canned mushrooms and halve mushrooms.
- Slice sausages in whatever shape or size you prefer, I went with round shapes.
- Rinse bell peppers and cut into slices.
Method:
- Pour water in a small bowl, stir in yeast. Leave to stand for yeast to dissolve for 7-10minutes.
- Brush a large bowl lightly with olive oil. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in processor.
- Add yeast mixture and 3 tablespoons of olive oil; process until dough forms a sticky ball.
- Transfer to a lightly floured surface, KNEAD dough until smooth, adding more flour by tablespoonfuls if dough is very sticky.
- Transfer to prepared bowl; turn dough in bowl to coat with oil. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let dough rise in warm place until doubled in volume, about 35mins.
- Punch down dough. Roll out dough, and begin to layer with toppings.
- I started with spreading marinara, sautéed beef, sausage, mushroom, bell pepper slices, onions, crushed red pepper flakes.
- Cover with mozzarella and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or more, or until crust is golden brown.
- Carefully remove pizza, and let it cool slightly. Slice with a pizza wheel.
Tip: If you like, you can remove the pizza from the oven halfway during baking to brush more oil on the crust.
This added oil will darken the crust and make it more tastier.
Back to the hangout/sleepover…..Oh, we had a lot of fun catching up/gisting while feasting on pizza, chicken wings, finger foods, cakes in a jar and lots of drinks. I was stuffed *sigh*
You already know....we slept like babies.*lol*
