The Nun: YouTube bans movie teaser for being too scary

YouTube bans Nun movie teaser ad for being too scary

For being too scary, YouTube has banned a trailer for the upcoming horror movie "The Nun" from running as an ad.

YouTube has banned a new marketing teaser for "The Nun," an upcoming horror film and spin-off to 2016's "The Conjuring."

The six-second clip was banned from running as an ad on YouTube after it was criticized for being too scary and deceptive.

If you're a frequent visitor on YouTube, then you are already familiar with having to sit through ads. In this case, the ad is titled "volume ad.'

When you see it, the first thing you would think is that there's a problem with your volume as the video is silent for a few seconds.

Seconds later, out of nowhere, a very scary image of the devilish nun - the movie's titular character - pops up, followed by a loud and scary scream.

In "The Nun," set in 1952, a nun, a catholic priest and a novice are sent by the Vatican to investigate the mysterious death of a nun at a Monastery.
