Femi Odugbemi speaks on MultiChoice Talent Factory

The West African Director, MultiChoice Talent Factory, Femi Odugbemi has given his take on why the academy and the programme are of essence to the next generation of filmmakers.

Odugbemi said, “The next generation must understand that as filmmakers, they are the historians of the modern age. We’ve got to have great filmmakers who are willing to take on big themes and unearth untold stories and all of that requires us to be deliberate about how we mentor the next generation. [We] have to be very deliberate that the next generation will simply not tell stories uneducated.”

The MTF initiative will deliver three touchpoints: the MTF academies, Masterclasses and the MTF Portal. The programme will take place at three regional MTF Academies based in Nigeria for West Africa, Kenya for East Africa and Zambia for Southern African countries and will be overseen by acclaimed local film and TV industry experts.
