Another piece from Lisa Folawiyo's SS18 collection has found its way to international fashion media. This time, it's in Vogue.
The september issues are bringing iconic moments for black women and Nigeria isn't about to be left behind, as Gigi Hadid poses in a Lisa Folawiyo Studio skirt for Vogue's September Issue.
Since Lisa Folawiyo, award winning designer and street style queen, debuted her SS18 collection at Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2017, it has not stopped making headlines. The Spring/Summer 2018 Kwenu collection from Lisa Folawiyo Studio feature bold prints inspired by Eastern Nigeria. Most pieces have Igbo prints which nod towards fabrics worn by noble men in Igboland.
So far, two pieces from the Kwenu collection have been worn by Danai Gurira to a Black Panther event and been featured in Vogue Spain.
This time, international supermodel, Gigi Hadid, has been spotted in a Lisa Folawiyo Studio SS18 Igbo maxi fan print skirt for Vogue Magazine's September Issue, photographed by Mikael Jansson. This is a huge moment for Folawiyo's designs, coming timely after the designer got a full spread for Vogue Japan August Issue.
We look forward to spotting more of her designs!
