Ighalo cannot seem to stop scoring, on target for Changchun Yatai against Shanghai Shenhua.
Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo was again on target for his club side Changchun Yatai in their 1-1 draw with Shanghai Shenhua on Saturday, August 4.
Ighalo was the hero for Changchun Yatai as his goal rescued his side from defeat against Shanghai Shenhua.
Shanghai Shenhua took the lead when Yunding Cao converted a ball to him by Oscar Romero in the 31st minute.
Ighalo could not find a breakthrough for his side as they went into the halftime break a goal behind.
The Nigerian striker however scored what turned out to be the equaliser for his side when he converted a ball to him by Nemanja Pejcinovic in the 71st minute.
Ighalo's goal was the last of the encounter as Shanghai Shenhua held on to a draw despite a late red card to their forward Shilin Sun in the 82nd minute.
Igahlo's return to form has been extra-ordinary as he was on target midweek in their win against Dalian Yifang.
Ighalo has now scored in five goals in five matches since he returned from the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
He is the second highest goalscorer in the Chinese Super League (CSL) with 12 goals in a total of 16 apperances.
The result means that Chanchung Yatai are now 12th on the table of 16 teams, and will take on Guangzhou Evergrande in their next fixture scheduled for Saturday, August 11.
His return to good form should earn him a spot in Gernot Rohr's team for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles in September 2018.
