According to Afia Schwarzenegger , although she looks up to Mahama as a father she won’t deny the facts that he became president because of the money the country possessed.
Television and radio personality, Afia Schwarzenegger says, former President John Dramani Mahama only came to spend to Ghanaians money during his reign.
According to her, although she looks up to Mahama as a father she won’t deny the facts that Mahama became president because of the money the country possessed.
Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix, Afia disclosed that she is neutral when it comes to politics and emphasized on not supporting or campaigning for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as some Ghanaian’s think but rather she supported Mahama who was a flag bearer of the NDC.
"I am not in any political party and didn’t campaign for any NDC party but I rather campaign for my father Mahama” she said
She further stated that politicians in Ghana do not contest for the interest of the people but they rather go into power to enrich themselves and families.

“Do you people think we have a politician who is coming to do well for the country…? They are all there to enrich themselves," she added.
Afia lamented that democracy is a disease in the country and therefore does not have plans to contest for president.
"I don’t have any ambitions to become president because I will steal people’s money" she stated.
The TV host in the past shown massive support to the former president John Mahama during and after the election.
