Ghanaian Players Abroad: Razak Brimah terminates contract with South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns

The 31-year-old has been on the fringes since signing for the Brazilians playing second fiddle to Uganda ace Denis Onyango.

Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah has reached a mutual agreement deal to severe ties with South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns after just a season to save his international career.

The 31-year-old has been on the fringes since signing for the Brazilians playing second fiddle to Uganda ace Denis Onyango.

With next year’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in the offing, Brimah wants to get active to gatecrash Ghana’s squad.

Brimah, who regards himself as a first team regular, made four league appearances for the Chloorkop-based side.

''I want to play regularly but that was not coming. I sat down with the club and the best thing was a mutual consent deal so I can be happy as a professional,'' Brimah told GHANASoccernet.com.

It is unknown if the former Ghana No.1 will remain in South Africa or return to South Africa or return to Europe.
