Akor Jerome moves from his Nigerian academy to Sogndal of Norway where he will continue his development.
Flying Eagles star Akor Jerome has completed a move to Norwegian OBOS-ligaen side Sogndal Fotball from Jamba Football Academy.
The agreement to bring Jerome to Norway from the Nigerian football academy will expire on July 31, 2019.
He joins after a series of trials at the club which he impressed on several occasions and will join compatriot defender Akeem Latifu who also joined Sogndal in January.
The 18-year-old forward told the clubs official website that he will work hard for the team.
He said, "I am very pleased to be here in Sogndal. No, I have to work hard and stand on. I'm going to work hard for the team, play matches and move on.”
Håvard Flo Sporting Director of Sogndal hailed Jerome’s potential in front of goal
He said, "This is one very exciting point. Jerome is one great boy who has been good at the group, and I hope to join him and develop him as a football player.
“Akor is one powerful player with good physics and he has good finishing skills. The fast killer from Nigeria has good qualities as a person.
"Akor has developed great both as play and on the personal plane. I know each other well and that's a nice boy. He has great values, is very reflective and one sensible guy.”
Jerome has been handed the number 28 jersey and should still be available to represent Nigeria as the Flying Eagles have qualified for 2019 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
