Barcelona have completed the signing of Malcom from French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, here are the five major things you need to know about him.

1. Malcom is 21-years-old
Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira was born in São Paulo, Brazil on February 26, 1997, which makes him 21-year-old.
2. Malcom previously played for Corinthians and Bordeaux
Malcom previously played for Brazilian side Corinthians and French side Bordeaux before his move to the La Liga Champions Barcelona.
Malcom started his youth career with Corinthians in 2008 until he was given his debut with the senior team in 2014.
Malcom, however, spent just one season with his home side where he won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A before a transfer to Europe with Bordeaux.
At Bordeaux, Malcom developed into one of Europe's bright forwards with brought about a move Barcelona despite interest from Italian side AS Roma.
3. Malcom is yet to play for the Brazilian national team
Malcom is one of Europes hottest prospects so will the proposals before his move to Barcelona suggest.
He, however, is yet to make an appearance for the Brazilian national team like new teammate Arthur Melo.
The two youngsters were not included in the squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cupdespite Malcom winning the league under Brazil coach Tite while they were are at Corinthians.
The 21-year-old has featured for the Brazilian youth set at U-20and U-23 levels, he was part of the U-20 team that finished in second place at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
4. Malcom the new Neymar?
Malcom’s style of play has been often compared to compatriot Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr.
Malcom can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder depending on the varying position.
He can occupy but flanks of the pitch but has been mostly known to operate from the right side of the field.
Unlike Neymar who is right-footed, Malcom is left footed which has seen him compared to greats such as Arjen Robben and Lionel Messi.
5. Malcom’s personal life and possible position at Barcelona
Malcom is single and his preferred position at Barcelona will be on the right hand on of the front three.
With Lionel Messi expected to play a more withdrawn role this season, Malcom’s rival for a starting position will be Ousmane Dembele.
