Ghanaian actor Sunsum has disclosed how a man gave him a “dirty” slap after he begged the man for money just because of his looks.

Kumawood actor, Yaw Adu also known as Sunsum, has lamented the ill-treatment given to him by people as a result of his ugly looks.

Speaking in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the “Delay Show”, Sunsum disclosed how a man gave him a “dirty” slap after he had begged the man for money in his hometown.

According to Sunsum, he suspects the man slapped him just because of his ugly looks.

But as with life, the very man who slapped him called him a few weeks ago “begging” him to escort him to the funeral of a late relative.

“There was a time that I begged for alms from a guy and he slapped me because of how I looked. It happened in my hometown. But some few weeks ago, he called me to ask me to escort him to his dead mother’s funeral,” Sumsum narrated.

He disclosed that he inherited his looks from his mother and grandmother but people just discriminated against him as if he created himself.

“Some people respected me. Others also disrespected me. They saw me as the son of a poor person. They spoke with much disgust when sending me on an errand. There was no respect,” Sunsum cried out.

Sumsum has starred in movies alongside Emelia Brobbey, Nana Ama McBrown, Agya Akoo Lil Win, Akrobeto and Bill Asamoah.
