Countryman Songo has opened up on how he felt when news of Kwesi Nyantakyi’s resignation as the President of the Ghana Football Association reached him.
The bankroller for Wa All Stars was caught on camera receiving monies suspected to be a bribe in the Anas expose’ that uncovered several rots in Ghana football.
Nyantakyi afterwards resigned from FIFA, CAF and GFA and it appears his illustrious football career as an administrator has come to an end.
Countryman Songo who was critical of Kwesi Nyantakyi says he was unhappy of the downfall of the former GFA capo.

Asked about whether he jubilated upon hearing the news of Kwesi Nyantakyi’s resignation he replied he wasn’t happy of the downfall of the former GFA capo, despite disagreeing with him.
“I want Ghana football to go forward. I want it to rise up again. You shouldn’t be happy for someone’s downfall. I wasn’t brought up like that. You have got to let a brother get up. Mine is, football should develop. We should be back to when we were winning trophies; that is what I am looking up for now…” he said.
