Outspoken member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong has accused Randy Abbey of financing Anas exposé on Ghana football dubbed Number 12
According to Agyapong, Abbey who owns Kpando Heart of Lions sponsored the exposé to oust Kwesi Nyanakyi as the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The latest undercover piece by multiple award winning investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw caught several match and football officials on camera receiving monies suspected to be bribes with former GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi at the centre of the scandal.
Kwesi Nyantakyi is serving a 90 day ban, following the expose’ and subsequently resigned from the GFA, CAF and FIFA.

However, Agyapong who jumped to the defence of Nyantakyi, accusing Anas Aremeyaw Anas of blackmailing people for personal gains has leveled an allegation against Randy Abbey that he was the one behind the Number 12 exposé.
“Randy Abbey set up Kwesi Nyantakyi. Randy has said he will disgrace Akufo-Addo so that Mahama will get another chance to become president,” he fumed on Kumasi-based Fox FM
“And today they are on a chase to make me unpopular and claim I don’t deserve to be an MP.
“Don’t mind him (Randy Abbey). If he likes, let him come and face me. Do they think I am afraid of them? I’m not afraid of them.
