From Toke Makinwa to Kate Henshaw to Shaffy Bello, many celebrities stepped out to attend the MET Gala themed premiere of Oceans 8 in Lagos and the common trend was headpieces!

With Halos and Wings, most celebrities attended the Oceans 8 premiere whose theme was MET Gala Glam with fabulous headpieces to compliment their outfits. Here are the headpiece looks from the MET Gala-themed Oceans 8 Premiere in Lagos.

The MET Gala is a major fundraising event that happens each year in New York City and kicks off the Costume Institute’s new exhibitions. Attendees dress up according to their interpretation of the theme, which has varied wildly throughout the years.

The movie Oceans 8 premiered on Nigeria over the weekend and invited celebrities were given a theme called Met Gala Glam, as the movie featured a scene from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

With 20 years of MET Gala themes to choose from, Nigerian celebrities, as usual, were excited to pull off this theme as many came through looking exquisite. The common trend, though, was the headpieces which hinted at the MET's 2018 theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination and the 2016 theme, Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.
