#Number12: Kwesi Nyantakyi didn’t receive bribe from Anas: Rev Owusu Bempah

The renowned reverend minister has questioned the modus operandi of Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Rev. Owusu Bempah has jumped to the defence of Kwesi Nyantakyi, saying he didn’t take any bribe from Anas Aremeyaw Anas, contrary to what many Ghanaian believe.

The latest investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas on football caught several officials of the beautiful game in Ghana, including former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi on camera receiving monies suspected to be bribes.

Kennedy Agyapong, a M ember of Parliament for the Assin Central has been critical of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ method of carrying out his work and even claims the investigative journalist has been blackmailing people for his personal gains.

Anas, however seems to have won the hearts of many Ghanaians, aside few who share in sentiment of Kennedy Agyapong like Rev. Owusu Bempah.

“After watching the video and whilst driving home that day, I pondered over the question marks in the documentary,” he said.

“I did not understand why Anas concluded he gave a bribe to Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, immediate past president of Ghana Football Association when he told him the money was for “shopping.

"It is also mindboggling that without demanding the bribe, Anas decided to present cash to some of the people [referees, protocol officers, sports administrators] in his video and told them it was a gift but turned around to accuse them of taking a bribe, the man of God questioned.
