Career Goals: Yvonne Nelson reveals plans to go into politics soon

The award-winning actress believes she has what it takes to win votes if she was to stand for any national election.

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has disclosed that she is planning on venturing into politics in the near future.

Speaking on Joy FM’s “Personality Profile” show, hosted by Sammy Forson, Yvonne Nelson said it won’t be long before she starts her political career.

According to her, she is likely to start her political life by contesting as a Parliamentary candidate in the Odododiodio constituency.

 

In her view, growing up in Dansoman makes the constituency a perfect place to start her political career.

“I will [go into politics], perhaps, Odododiodio [constituency]; ...maybe soon because I grew up in Dansoman and that will be a perfect place for me. When the time is right, I would know. I am just taking my time…,” she disclosed.

Yvonne Nelson is one of the most celebrated actresses in Ghana, with her unique winning her numerous awards.

Having started her acting career over a decade ago, the actress has risen to become a regular feature in the Ghana and Nigeria movie industries.
