The former beauty queen said “And today, it was a wrap at the Family Nurse Practitioner Program commencement ceremony . Yes kids, yes we did. We thank God for all his blessings, big and small.”
Reina Askia won the title of Miss UNILAG in 1988. She contested for the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria (MBGN) pageant also in 1988 and came second.
She however won the MBGN title in 1989.
The beauty queen is fondly remembered for her role in the Soap, Fortunes, where she played Tokunbo Johnson, a gold digger.
She is a registered nurse and a graduate of the University of Lagos where she studied Biology.
Regina Askia survived the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center, where she worked when she moved to New York City, according to Wikipedia.
