Martins was in action for the entire 90 minutes for Shanghai Shenhua who defeated Hebei CFFC 4-2.
Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins scored a hat-trick for his Chinese Super League (CSL) side Shanghai Shenhua as they beat Hebei CFFC in a league game played on Saturday, March 31.
Martins was in action for the entire 90 minutes for Shanghai Shenhua’s victory.
The 33-year-old opened the scoring for Shanghai Shenhua in the 62nd minute after Hebei took the lead through Chengdong Zhang in the 48th minute.
Martins again equalized for Shenhua with his second goal of the game in the 76th minute after Ezequiel Lavezzi scored for Hebei.
Fredy Guarin gave Shenhua the lead for the first time when he scored in the 82nd minute, and Martins made sure of the result when he scored his third of the game in the 90th minute to complete his hat-trick.
The result means Martins and his teammates have seven points from four games and are sixth in the Chinese League.
Martins and his teammates return to action when they take on Kashima Antlers in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday, April 3.
Martins previously played for several top football teams such as, Reggina, Inter Milan, Newcastle United, VfL Wolfsburg, Rubin Kazan, Birmingham City, Levante, Seattle Sounders FC before he moved to Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.
