Come Monday, April 9, 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari will be leaving Nigeria for London to observe his annual vacation. This makes it the eight time President Buhari will be enjoying a vacation in the Queensland.

We can tell you for free that the Nigerian President will be watching his favourite Nigerian TV channel, Channels TV. This will keep him abreast of all the happenings in the country while he is away. The President had once tweeted about how he enjoys watching the Nigerian news channel.
"Wherever I am, I keep up with news from home. Channels TV is one of my favorites. I'm proud of what the Nigerian media are achieving," the President once tweeted in 2017 while in London on medical vacation.
He will be seeing his doctors to be sure all is well as he prepares for another term in 2019
President Buhari is known to have always taken his health a priority despite fears from the people of Nigeria as a result of much hoarded information on the particular ailment the President suffers from.
The Nigerian president has always noted that it is only with good health that he can lead Nigeria aright and he follows his doctors advices.
Hence, on this short vacation, the president will be monitoring his health and getting advice from his doctors as he prepares a re-election bid for 2019.
Buhari will be meeting secretly with top politicians to consolidate on his decision to re-contest or not in 2019
Knowing fully well that 2019 is a political year, President Buhari will be moving to close ranks in the political circle to help him secure a re-election bid.
A Presidency source said President Buhari was travelling to London “to rest and prepare for the 2019 election.
“You know activities are in top gear. The president wants to take time off to prepare for the 2019 battle. Sometimes, a general needs to withdraw and strategise."
The President will be meeting with his inner caucus as well as political strategists to plan ahead of the 2019 elections which should commence in the second quarter of 2018.
Once the President is satisfied with all his other activities while resting, he will attend the 25th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, also known as CHOGM 2018, to be held at the Buckingham Palace, St James’ Palace, and Windsor Castle.
The CHOGM meeting is scheduled for April 16, 2018 to April 20, 2018.
