Snake Woman: 5 new things JAMB staff said about missing N36M

5 new things JAMB snake staff said about missing N36M

Here are 5 new things JAMB lady who said a snake swallowed N36million, wants you to know.

Madam Philomena Chieshe, the JAMB employee who told us that a snake swallowed N36million which she kept in a vault, is back again. Ok, she never really left.

Here’s like a rewind since you asked—Chieshe said her maid who possesses some mysterious powers, turned into a snake and swallowed the N36million. This was the first version.

We really don't know who came first between the maid and the snake at this point, to be honest.

Recall also that this money was proceeds from the sale of JAMB scratch cards.

Madam Chieshe appears to have revised her statement concerning the missing money.

Here are five new things she wants you to know about how the N36million went down or developed wings.

1. Her colleague is actually the snake we’ve all been looking for

Chieshe told EFCC operatives that Samuel Umoru who is a Coordinator in the Makurdi office of JAMB, was the one who withdrew all of that money in piecemeal.

The fact sheet in EFCC custody reads this way: "Philomena Chieshe, the lady in the eye of the Naira eating snake storm in JAMB, has been singing before the EFCC.

“And, contrary to her claim before the leadership of the examination body that the N36 million proceed from sale of scratch cards were eaten up by a snake, Chieshe told operatives of the anti- graft agency that the money was collected piecemeal from her by her coordinator, Mr. Samuel Sale Umoru".

2. Mr Umoru turned Chieshe into an ATM, basically

“In one of the statements she volunteered to the EFCC, Chieshe, who is a clerk in the Makurdi office of JAMB, revealed that the Coordinator usually asked her to withdraw proceeds of the sale of the Scratch Cards from her account in two new generation banks”, the EFCC fact sheet reads.

3. Chieshe warned Umoru about using JAMB money for himself, but dude wouldn’t listen

According to Chieshe, as Umoru withdrew this money, he used it to solve personal problems.

Again, the fact sheet: “This money I withdrew, the coordinator used it for the office and some time for himself.

“She claimed that she had been warning Umoru that it was improper to use the money for miscellaneous expenses in the office or for private purposes but he would not listen”.

4. See enh, there are dates to this whole thing

Chieshe kept records as Umoru turned her into his bank.

“Some of the withdrawals which she claimed were at the behest of the coordinator included the N340,000 withdrawn on May 5 and 26, 2014 with ATM card.

“She also disclosed that she used her ATM card to withdraw N120,000 for the coordinator between June 17 and 18, 2014.”

5. Umoru told Chieshe that he was borrowing this money and would pay back

Chieshe told the EFCC that Umoru was withdrawing all of this money under the pretence of borrowing same.

However, she says, he never paid back the loan.

Here’s how the fact sheet reads: “She also claimed that Umoru was in the habit of drawing IOU from the proceeds of the sale of the cards without reimbursing her”.

____

First a snake, then the maid and now a JAMB colleague. You have to agree that Madam Philomena Chieshe has come full circle.
