Relationship Talk With Bukky: My boyfriend has been ignoring me for 2 months

7 times my ex made me regret being in love

He comes online, checks my status, posts other girls’ pictures on his status but never checks my messages.

Hi Bukky,

I have not seen my boyfriend for two months now and he does not chat, does not call.

If I chat him up he does not reply, when I complain he is always making excuses that he is busy and when I call him he will tell me that he is busy that he will call me back when he’s done but he rarely does.

Besides he comes online and checks my status, posts other girls’ pictures on his status but never checks my messages.

We have been dating for seven months now. We are in the same university so recently I told him I won't be coming back to school, because I got admission into another university.

So I feel the relationship might crash. What can I do?

Hello Reader,

This may not be what you want to hear, but girl, sometimes life gives us blessings we do not even know we need.

To be honest, all the things you have mentioned about your boyfriend are not the things you hear of a guy who is interested in a woman.

He’s either uninterested or just does not know how to treat a woman right. In any case, he does not sound like someone I’d spend more energy and effort on if I were you.

Put in your shoes, I don’t think I want to be teaching an adult the barest minimum things about relationships – calling, reciprocating and doing things that anyone should know who deems themselves fit or old enough for a relationship.

Posting pictures of other girls while blatantly refusing to read your messages let alone respond to them is not a mistake. Checking your status updates without bothering to reach out in such a long time is intentional, too.

Sis, just move on to that school and invest your energy and time into other things. It’s the best thing you could do to yourself right now.
