The Nigeria’s finance minister, Kemi Adesoun has called for a meeting with the NNPC GMD, Maikanti Baru over the discrepancies in a N37.76 billion revenue.

According to a statement by Adesosun's Senior Adviser on Media and Publicity, Oluyinka Akintunde, the decision to meet with the country-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation is as a result of the discrepancies in the payments of the N37.76 billion revenue declared by the nation oil's agency.

Adeosun said she will be meeting with the NNPC GMD over discrepancies in payment into the Federation Account.

This is coming after the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, was inconclusive due to discrepancies in revenue presented by the NNPC.

Adeosun, who is also the Chairman of FAAC, said she called for an emergency meeting with Baru and other key management staff over revenue payment into the Federation Account.

The nation's finance minister said that the Accountant General of the Federation, Commissioners of Finance and Accountant-Generals of the 36 States would also be present at the meeting.

Similarly, she said that other representatives of the NNPC, Federal Inland Revenue Service, Nigeria Customs Service, Department of Petroleum Resources would also be at the meeting.
