International kit makers Nike, have unveiled the 2018 FIFA World Cup kits for French national team.

The 1998 World Cup winners unveiled their jerseys using Kylian Mbappe, Raphael Varane, Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele.

Warm-up jerseys

The Warm-up jerseys for France are a mixture of the red, white and blue colours on the country’s flag, it will be worn by the players before the match.

 

The colours of the flag are embedded vertically on the outfit which gives it a very modern but trendy look.

Home jerseys

The home jersey is inspired by previous jerseys of the national team, which combines all three colours of the country into perfection.

 

The home shirt is blue, white shorts and red socks, but there is a very noticeable design around the shoulder area.

Away jerseys

The away jersey is a total reversal from the home kit, it is a pure white shirt combined with a touch of subtle red with the shorts.

The two strips are a tribute to the French national flag, which is embedded in the neck area at the back of the shirt.

Tracksuit's

The tracksuit's of the team area are red, white and blue and will be worn by the players before the national anthem to recreate the country’s national flag before kick off.

 

Nike making jerseys more Fashionable?

The unveiling of the new kits for France shows that Nike are casting a wider net as to the purchase of the jerseys.

With trendy superstars Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann expected to spearhead their World Cup challenge, Nike aim to tap in to their marketing potential to capture the youths using these modern jerseys.

 

After the unveiling of the Nigerian and English kits, it is safe to say that Nike are moving in the direction of making football jerseys more fashionable, hence a wider appeal to a larger reach.

When the Super Eagles jerseys were released, the reactions on social media showed that the Nike creation appealed to Nigerians and non-Nigerians.

The Les Bleus should wear their new attires in their upcoming friendly matches against Colombia on Friday, March 23, and later against Russia on Tuesday, March 27.
