Junior Ajayi has been invited for the Super Eagles friendlies against Poland and Serbia.

Super Eagles new boy Junior Ajayi has won his second Egyptian Premier League title with Al Ahly.

Ajayi and his Al Ahly teammates were crowned champions after rivals Al Masry were held to a goalless draw by El Harby on Monday, March 12

The result effectually crowned Hossam El-Badry’s men champions, as they had earlier won 1-0 against ENPPI on Saturday, March 10.

Al-Ahly clinched the league title with 75 points, Ismaily are second with 53 points, while Zamalek and Al Masry have 51 and 49 points respectively.

 

The 22-year-old has been impressive for the Egyptian champions which has seen him, included among the 28 players invited by Gernot Rohr for the Super Eagles upcoming friendlies against Poland and Serbia.

He has been impressive since he moved from CS Sfaxien to the Red devils in August 2016, where he was part of the as instrumental to Al-Ahly's progression to the 2017 CAF Champions League final, and was also voted among Africa's best 11 eleven players, at the Aiteo CAF Awards.

Ajayi has been an integral part of Al-Ahly’s league winning team as he contributed nine assists and scored eight goals in a total of 24 matches.

Pulse Sports earlier reported that the 22-year-old was voted man of the match in a league game for the Egyptian side.

The Nigerian international has made a total of 92 appearances for Ahly and has contributed 30 goals and 23 assists.
