Buhari visited Taraba after Nigerians criticised him for failing to show up at troubled states following killings carried out by Fulani herdsmen.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, March 5, 2018, visited Taraba over the clashes between farmers and herdsmen.
The visit follows weeks of criticism by Nigerians, who slammed the President for failing to visit Benue, Taraba and other states affected by the herdsmen crisis.
Over 100 people were killed in Benue alone since the renewed herdsmen attacks began on December 31, 2017.
Over the weekend, Buhari was also criticised for attending the wedding ceremony of the children of Governors Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo but the inconsolable families of the 110 girls abducted by Boko Haram in Yobe State did not get a presidential visit.
