Buhari meets northern APC governors in Abuja

“President Buhari deserves a second term in office,” the APC governor declared.

“There will be problem in solving Nigeria’s enormous challenges if President Muhammadu Buhari fails to seek reelection,” Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello of Niger state has said.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governor who threw his weight behind President Buhari’s reelection ambition said Nigeria will slip back into recession if President Buhari was not reelected.

Speaking at the government house in Minna, the governor said Buhari’s re-election into presidency in 2019 will help stabilise Nigeria’s economy and solve challenges facing the country.

“The support declared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors was to ensure continuity and sustainability of Buhari’s good work in Nigeria,” Bello said.

“If President Muhammadu Buhari does not contest in 2019, there will be problem in solving the enormous challenges facing the country because he is truthful, fair and just in administering the country.

“Nigeria would continue to become a greater nation under President Buhari’s administration.

“President Buhari deserves a second term in office,” the APC governor declared.

‘Buhari has failed’

Meanwhile, an APC lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye says the Buhari-led administration has failed to meet the yearnings and expectations of Nigerians.

Senator Melaye who likened the APC to Public Complaints Commission said Nigeria is current sick under the Buhari administration.

“The APC government has become Public Complaint Commission. I say this without fear or favour. We have more complains in the APC and even in the Presidency than service rendered. We cannot as a people continue like this,” Melaye said.

“The President said two days ago we should all embrace peace but I want to say without fear or favour that there can be no peace without justice.

“There is hunger in the land, there is poverty in the land, and there is unemployment in the land. A lot of decision has not been taken; yet we say we want peace.

“The primary objective of government is the security and welfare of the people. There is no security, there is no welfare,” he announced.
