Usain Bolt has announced he will play for South African Side Mamelodi Sundows
South African football outfit Mamelodi Sundowns have completed the signing of Jamaican athletics icon Usain Bolt.
The 100m and 200m world record holder had earlier stated his intention to play professional football upon his retirement from athletics.
The 31-year-old earlier had trials with European sides Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, but he took to his official Twitter handle to announce his move.
Bolt is a multiple winner at the IAAF World Athletics Championship before he retired in 2017.
South African side Mamelodi Sundowns then posted a picture of the Athletics Icon in their teams training kit
The eight time Olympic gold medallist is expected to be unveiled by the South African side on Tuesday, February 27.
