Toke Makinwa on our photo of the day, is the lady in red. Yes we all know she is a slay queen and whatever she wears, looks like magic but this outfit makes Toke Makinwa stand out. Toke's red dress was for the movie premiere where it was an all red gala and we can assure you that she was the toast of the night.

Just recently Toke Makinwa was caught in an assault allegation. According to the media personality, she had gone to a highbrow restaurant in the company of a friend when she was prevented from sitting at her preferred sit. However, she claims the bodyguard to American born Nigerian actor, John Boyega assaulted her.

It was quite a messy gist and Toke Makinwa felt she was treated that way because she is a woman. The incident caused a lot of debate online, thereby bringing back to the front burner the way women are treated in public especially when they aren't in the company of a male.

2017  was a good year for Toke Makinwa, especially her venture to movies where she starred in her first major debut movie "Markate Must Sell."

The film features Makinwa alongside Toyin Aimakhu, Etim Effiong, Charles Okocha, Bisola Aiyeola, Nedu of Wazobia Fm, Chigurl among others.
