Jeremy Scott's latest offering for Moschino is a throwback to the JFK era with a futuristic spin on the swinging 60's
Moschino's latest show at Milan Fashion Week was a throwback to the swinging 60's with a futuristic twist. We give you a front row seat to watch Moschino channel Jackie O's retro chic for their FW18 offering.
The runway delivery was pure 1960s nostalgia, with Kaia Gerber styled as a mini-Moschino Jackie O complete with a pillbox hat and signature full, mid-length blowout.
A parade of Jackies follow, styled nearly identical to the last, but in true form, Scott added his colourful two cents. Models in full neon body paint came out, as well as psychedelic pop-art printed dresses disguised as cereal box advertisements.

As the collection evolved, Scott added in glamorous gala gowns constructed with both silk and sequins, straying from a Jackie persona and more so into a Marilyn embodiment. Fitted to each model perfectly with elegant and a dash of sex appeal, a seasoned Gigi Hadid closed the show in a pastel aqua gown, bringing the presentation to a fitting close.
The entire show was a whirlwind ride through the 60's starting with the purity of Jackie and ending up with the sensuality of Marilyn, a tale of two women who influenced a decade.
