In three days, the new Marvel superhero movie, Black Panther, has broken all Box Office records it needed to break to show it is a classic.

The movie pulled off beyond Marvel’s project and has raked in about $192 million in three days. This is beyond what ‘Deadpool’ did in 2016 with a $152 million revenue in its first four-day.

Looking at the revenue statistics, here are some historical feats Black Panther has achieved.

1. Biggest February weekend opening

Black Panther broke the $152 million record set by ‘Deadpool’ in 2016. In just three days, the movie has raked in $40 million more, thus, setting a new record mark of $192 million for February weekend openings.

2. Biggest opening by a black director 

With $192 million in its first weekend, Black Panther now has the biggest opening for movies directed by a black man.

More so, Ryan Coogler is set to become the black director with the biggest domestic hit if the movie keeps the record performance.

3. Biggest opening for a non-team-up superhero movie

The new movie which was Africa-themed also holds the new record for a non-hero team up movie at the Box Office.

From records, Black Panther has exceeded the openings revenue  of most of the superhero movies like The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War.

4. Biggest pre-summer opening weekend 

Black Panther also has the biggest pre-summer opening. Also, the new movie is expected to surpass the $174.7 million mark made by the remake of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in 2017.

5. Top 5 highest openings of all-time 

At present, Black Panther also occupies the list of top 5 highest openings of all-time at the box office. The movie joins the league of Jurassic World, The Avengers and the two latest "Star Wars" films for the biggest openings of all-time.

6. Biggest opening by a movie with a black lead character

Black Panther also dethroned Furious 7 with Dwayne Johnson to become the biggest movie with a black lead character.
