Home based Eagles stars Kalu Orji and Osas Okoro are in talks to move abroad
Home-based Eagles duo of Kalu Orji and Osas Okoro are eyeing moves to foreign clubs after they both quit Nigerian Professional Football league side (NPFL) Rangers International of Enugu.
Both Orji and Okoro were part of the Home based team that lost 4 – 0, in the final of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.The duo did not renew their contracts with NPFL side Rangers and are looking abroad for their next professional contracts.
Okoro who apologised for the defeat against Morocco played in the right back position for the Super Eagles at the CHAN, but can also be utilised in the right wing position.
According to Complete Sports the defender is keen on a move abroad
“My mind is set on playing abroad and I have some offers on the table which I’m studying,”
”I don’t want to reveal anything for now until everything is settled.” Okoro said
While Orji played in the centre back position alongside Stephen Eze who moved to Lokomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria.
“My contract with Rangers ended last season and I didn’t renew it,”
“Right now, I’m talking to some clubs in Europe and all things being equal I should move abroad soon.” Orji said
Orji and Okoro played important roles for Rangers, as the Enugu side won the league title in 2016 the clubs first in 30years
