Happening now: Buhari arrives Katsina enroute Daura

KATSINA – President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday evening arrived Katsina on his way to Daura, his hometown on a private visit.
Buhari landed in the Nigerian Air Force Presidential jet at about 4:32pm at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua international airport in Katsina state.
He was received at the airport by the Katsina state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, Speaker, Yahaya Kusada and other top government officials, Emirs of Katsina, Dr. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman and his counterpart from Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruq.
President Buhari after the airport ceremonies, proceeded to the helipad area of the airport where he boarded an helicopter to Daura, his hometown and where he is expected to spend the weekend.
At about 4:19pm the first jet landed conveying the President’s aide, media crew among others.
