Guinness World Record: Meet the Nigerian attempting to set record for longest reading marathon

Olawunmi Bayode is attempting to break a Guinness World Record in the “Longest Marathon Reading Aloud” Category

The current record is 113 hours 15 minutes and it's been held by a Nepali, Deepak Sharma since 2008.

Nigerian man, Treasure Olawunmi Bayode is attempting to break a Guinness World Record in the “Longest Marathon Reading Aloud” Category.

Bayode says he took the initiative for the youths; to remind them that education is the bedrock of development.

 

According to him, "I am doing this for Nigeria – for the world to know we’re a great nation – and yes, we do have libraries.

Bayode began reading at 1:30 PM on Monday, February 26, 2018 and still has a three days to go.

 

Nigerians are invited to go witness the making of greatness at You Read Library, Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba.

The current record is 113 hours 15 minutes and it's been held by a Nepali, Deepak Sharma since 2008.
