Wizkid will perform at the Music and Arts festival, known as Coachella, holding in April 2018 in the sunny state of California, USA.

Nigerian musician, Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun is among the names billed to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Also referred to simply as Coachella, the festival holds every year in the sunny state of California and features the biggest and best performers on the planet. It enjoys a reputation as one of the biggest and most reputed music festivals in the world.

This year’s edition will hold from April 13 to April 22, 2018.

Hip-hop icon, Eminem is one of three headliners, along with Beyonce and neo-R&B singer and pop star, The Weeknd.

Wizkid will perform either on Saturday, April 14 or 21 as part of a batch of performers that also features Post Malone and Tyler The Creator.

After a very eventful December, Wizkid will continue his trip around the world as he continues to establish himself as a global concern.

The pop star spent most of 2017 making a case for Nigerian music and taking the African sound across the world with chart-topping collaborations and his third studio project, “Sounds From the Other Side”.

Nigeria’s Classic Man, Jidenna will also perform at the festival. He is part of the set headlined by Eminem, slated to perform on April 15 or 22.

He is joined by the enigmatic twin sisters, Ibeyii. The French-Cuban sisters sing in Yoruba and worship Yoruba goddesses, Yemoja and Oshun. They enjoy a loyal following for their spiritually-influenced music and will grace the stage with their elaborate craft.

With the announcement of the Coachella line-up, Wizkid starts his year on a solid note. With his eyes set on advancing his sound beyond the continent, this performance will fit perfectly into his intentions to make his stamp on the world stage.

Wizkid's management is yet to respond to our messages seeking comments.
