Tech: Nigerian based tech startup, Hotels.ng launches Hotel.africa and Fly.africa

Mark Essein has grown the Hotels.ng startup into a brand.

This Nigerian startup is stepping up its game in 2018.

Hotels.ng which is the biggest hotel booking site in Nigeria launched its international hotel booking platform, Hotel.africa and its flight booking website, Fly.africa according to a press statement by the startup.

Fly.africa is a platform which is focused on flights within and outside Africa and has partnered with local airlines across Africa to accelerate its growth across the region.

Hotel.africa is focused on making every hotel in Africa available to be booked online, by taking its hotel inventory on hotel.africa from 25,000 to 100,000 within the next 4 years. Already Hotel.africa has over 25,000 properties listed across many cities in Africa.

In 2013, there were only 300 Nigerian hotels listed online. Mark Essien, CEO of Hotels.ng, saw an opportunity in building an African focused OTA to give hotels in most obscure areas visibility and to help consumers find a place to stay in all the cities across Africa – no matter how small.

Now, the company intends on exporting its cost-effective business model and operational efficiency in marketing, customer support, and finance in Nigeria to win in Africa on both hotel bookings and flights by launching Hotel.africa and Fly.africa.
