Single Pringle: 5 things that prove that being single is always terrible

No point being depressed because you are single. There's someone out there for everyone

This is for you, if you ever feel too depressed for being single.

When you are single, you realise how tiring it must be, having to fend off unending questions about why you are a single pringle.

It’s even more difficult when almost all your friends are taken and your Instagram page mostly looks like a garden of cute selfies and photos off romantic dates, baecations and other relationship things.

It could also be depressing sometimes, and everyone who’s single can relate with one of these feelings.

If you are single and feeling some type of way, here are five things to lift your mood and make you feel good about yourself today:

1. Not every taken person is happy

Many single people always think that getting involved with someone will take away the loneliness and make them feel better about life and get happier.

But that’snot true. Several celebrity breakups have repeatedly proven this; especially those who had beautiful weddings and glowing relationships on social media.

If you are single and happy, you are doing amazing. Don’t give that up simply because you need to be in a relationship.

2. People in relationships feel lonely too

"Almost all people experience loneliness from time to time," says Dr. Stephen Synder, an American Sex Therapist.

The feeling of loneliness you sometimes get has nothing to do with your relationship status. People with partners also feel lonely.

So it is sensible to banish thoughts such as “If only I weren't single, I wouldn't be lonely." Dr. Synder says.

You could be in a relationship and experience that loneliness, too.

3. Being single isn’t really stressful

When you are by yourself, you could do everything you want to do without feeling like you are leaving someone out.

You can easily live your best baby boy and baby girl life. There is also no bother and no stress; no quarrels and emotional wahala that people in relationships usually have to deal with.

You get to live well, focus on goals and your career and also pamper yourself like it's nobody's business.

Would you rather be content by yourself or disturbed and stressed out by a partner?

4. No fear of heartbreak

Do you wake up with the fear of being heartbroken? Or worry that your partner slept in another’s arms overnight?

Do you have to sneakily check boo’s phone on a suspicion that he might be cheating on you?

No? Then that’s something to be grateful for. Being single doesn’t sound so bad now, does it?

5. It’s never too late

Everyone around you may be hitched and they may appear happy in love, it does not mean your happiness will be added to theirs.

It does not matter how long it takes, once you feel ready to be with someone, you’ll meet the ideal one who embodies your values and meets your emotional needs and you’ll be happy with him or her.

So step out there kings and queens and live your best single life to the max!
